Job OverView

Ensure editorial plans are coherent with S.M. operational strategy and conflicting priorities are resolved

Provide editorial directions to S.M. Account Managers in terms of editorial lines on improving the website content & interactivity

Follow-up on all reports details; searching for news, deciding on special stories of the day, assign stories, liaise with various sources to cover it, cost of getting the story done, review the stories (editorial judgment, political appropriateness, reports angles, prioritization, QA/QC), & then publish it

Facilitate daily / weekly / monthly editorial meetings

Decide on which program can be covered on S.M. accounts & coordinate its publishing

Once every week coordinate with all libraries in the world about new Arabic releases & publish its review

Finalize the payment of correspondents depending on the quality of stories published

Provide training for staff to improve their editorial and production capabilities

Manage and write briefs about special news reports and assigning stories


Experience in journalism

Experience on budget management

Experience on editorial and content assessment

Experience in the development of News production strategies in reference to the Channel's targeted audience behaviors, characteristics & trends, and competition
