You will work together with the Senior Creative Manager and Director of Brand and Creative to implement designs for all content on Bloomberg Asharq. Content could be daily shows, or special coverage like disasters, elections, etc.
Work collaboratively with the Creative Director and VIZRTIST to implement designs for all output (Daily shows, special events, Elections, etc).
Use scripting within VizRT to create innovative display solutions, including touchscreens, VR, and AR.
Work closely with VIZRT Engineering to ensure the system is operationally and technically robust. Additional troubleshooting, replicating, diagnosing, and fixing system related bugs may be required.
You will also be supporting the Broadcast Design team to create UI for shows.
Work closely with other units to ensure that the workflow and system is operationally sound and contribute to debugging and troubleshooting when necessary.
You should keep yourself updated on the latest technological trends and develop skills necessary to keep pace with both graphical advancement and changing business needs.
Be flexible to work in non-official hours for breaking news and special projects.
Years of experience: 3 years of broadcast development and VizRT
Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, Cinema 4D (or comparable 3D software), Viz Artist.
Experience templating within the VizRT suite of software (Template Wizard, Content Pilot)
Experience with real-time 3D render engines in a data-driven environment (eg elections, weather etc)
Coding experience with VBScript and Viz Script; knowledge of other scripting languages is highly beneficial.
Understanding of television control room workflow and operations
Knowledge of broadcast video codecs and industry standard file formats
Demonstrate a high standard of editorial awareness
Demonstrate an understanding of visual language and graphic design
Understanding of newsroom control workflows and exhibit deep knowledge in editorial practices.
Exhibit calmness and professionalism under work pressure and short turnaround projects.
